GOP Claims to be Party of Christian Values, Yet Cuts Funding for Poor and Needy

One of the tools in the GOP’s playbook for getting elected is to claim themselves as the party of “Christian values”. However, what they say and do is quite contradictory.

While Jesus spent his life helping the poor and needy, Republicans belittle those who need help, while championing those who live a life of greed. Their ideology is fundamentally based on “survival of the fittest.” Get as much as you can, nearly any way you can, and if others can’t keep up—that’s their problem. They continually fight to cut funding for programs that support the poor and needy.

Almost nothing the Republican party stands for reflects the values for which Jesus lived and died for. So, how can they continue to claim themselves to be the party of “Christian values”?

  1. Well I thought Jesus was Jewish! Christianity was created 250 years later by Cesar of Rom Constantine. Even he was not Christian! He was baptized on his death bed (check it out). There is no historical evidence about Jesus (at least for the first 50 years AD). Only hearsay.
